The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all aspects of our strategic and tactical financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, tax optimization and compliance, accounting operations and controls, cash flow management and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Set and personally live out exemplary standards for service, conflict resolution, problem solving and staff coaching and empowerment
- To establish, review, optimize and ensure compliance with all KINVEST policy and procedures related to financial management
- Ensure efficient, well controlled and timely accounting operations including daily bank reconciliations, timely cash management, payroll, tax filings, month end adjustments and close.
- Personally master and oversee the effective use of the company’s ERP / Accounting platform
- To report on KINVEST’s financial position and activities in a timely and accurate fashion according to the expressed needs of the management team and in accordance with IFRS and any additional regulatory requirements
- Create and maintain clear and comprehensive financial models and comprehensive budgets for our group of companies, allowing for scenario analysis and effective budget to actual comparison
- Strategically source and negotiate funding sources that will allow the company to carry out uninterrupted operations and take advantage of new opportunities
- Any other duties as periodically assigned to you by the executive team
Objectives
- Source and manage financing to allow us to cover $1.5M in working capital needs.
- Effectively manage cash flow to avoid disruptions to operations while scaling rapidly.
- Close monthly books by the 5th of the following month with reports circulated to stakeholders by the 10th
- Eliminate discrepancies between export operations reporting on direct material costs and finance department reports to arrive at timely and accurate gross margin reporting.
- Train and develop team into a cohesive, high functioning team with clear communication and high levels of satisfaction.
