Visionary Leader

The primary objective of this role is to:
  1. spearhead cross-functional growth initiatives by fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
  2. co-create and implement comprehensive business strategies that not only elevate our financial standing but also amplify our impact on society.

 

Specific responsibilities encompass but are not restricted to the following:

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization
  • Collaborate with department heads to formulate and implement innovative strategies that drive growth, bolster market presence, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide teams to optimize their performance, encouraging a collaborative, inventive, and dynamic work environment.
  • Oversee the refinement and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with company values and business objectives.
  • Lead efforts to analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes to develop and refine strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations and logistics teams to optimize supply chain, production, and distribution processes.
  • Partner with the financial team to facilitate the development of budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Drive the company’s commitment to inclusivity by fostering an environment that champions diversity and empowers employees at all levels.
  • Exemplify unwavering commitment to our values, acting as a role model for values-driven leadership.
  • Collaborate with the CEO in making critical business decisions, effectively contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record of visionary leadership with 8+ years of progressive experience in business management.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate and champion the company’s vision, values, and growth strategies.
  • Proven experience in fostering innovation, collaboration, and a positive work culture that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of financial, operational, and market dynamics, especially within the Rwandan context.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required); Master’s degree (preferred).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving performance improvements.

 

Compensation & Working Conditions:

  • Compensation: Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Paid Leave: 18 working days per annum
  • Travel: Candidate will work primarily from the company’s offices in Kigali, Rwanda
  • Duration: Seeking a minimum initial commit of 24 months
  • Reporting: Candidate will report to the CEO and to the Executive Chairman as well as work collaboratively with other department heads and team members
  • Expenses: Candidate shall be reimbursed for business related airtime, transportation and other authorized business expenses
