We are seeking a qualified and motivated Finance Manager to become a vital leader at Masaka Creamery. As the Finance Manager, you will plan and direct all financial functions, manage the preparation and presentation of financial information, design, implement, and maintain accounting and internal control systems, and oversee departmental employees. You will handle key decisions, challenge, negotiate, and influence the growth of the business through a critical period of growth. The Finance Manager must prioritize creating accurate cash forecasts, reviewing contracts, and developing measurement systems while ensuring efficient team management and leadership development.
- Lead Financial Operations: Design, implement, and maintain rigorous accounting and tax compliance systems, manage day-to-day financial operations, and ensure all financial policies and procedures are followed.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and present financial reporting packages to leadership, compile monthly reports, and support budget and forecasting activities to ensure the company’s financial health and growth.
- Team Leadership & Development: Oversee and develop the finance team,implement leadership training programs, and enhance departmental efficiency through continuous improvement of processes and systems, including the use of Odoo ERP.
Supporting activities toward this include:
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization.
- Oversee existing accounting personnel, systems, and activities, ensuring smooth financial processes.
- Design, implement, and maintain a monthly-close process with clear activities, responsibilities, and deadlines; ensure quality and accuracy of all financial information
- Manage all accounts payable and receivable; ensure proper follow-up and payments from credit customers; work with clients to resolve payment issues and suspend new sales to delinquent accounts.
- Compile monthly reporting packages and present them to company leadership on a monthly basis.
- Review, improve, and maintain all tax compliance systems; submit accurate annexures ahead of schedule; stay abreast of tax and regulatory changes.
- Review, improve, and maintain payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments for company employees.
- Systematically ensure all company data is accurately recorded, analyzed, and processed through Odoo ERP; clean up six months of Odoo financial transactions.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end reports, including preparation of year-end tax documents; direct and assist auditors in the completion of the annual audit.
- Support budget and forecasting activities, ensuring timely reporting of all monthly financial information and performing monthly and quarterly bank compliance activities.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with QuickBooks, Odoo, or other ERP systems.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Deep understanding of all aspects of financial accounting for a Rwandan company.
- Bachelor’s degree (required) and/or Master’s degree (preferred) in a relevant field
- 5-10 years or more of relevant accounting experience.
- Background in supply chain, regulatory affairs, or operations management.
- Experience overseeing construction, factory builds, or large infrastructure projects.
- Ability to lead with both authority and humility, adjusting communication styles based on the audience.
- High emotional intelligence and adaptability in high-pressure situations.
Compensation & Working Conditions:
- Compensation: 1,500,000 -2,500,000(Rwf) Net depending on experience
- Paid Leave: 18 working days per annum.
- Travel: Candidates will work primarily from the company’s offices at Plot G5, Kigali Special Economic Zone, Kigali, Rwanda.
- Duration: Seeking a minimum initial commitment of 2 years.
- Reporting: Candidates will report to the CEO and to the Executive Chairman as well as work collaboratively with other department heads and team members. Candidates will manage existing accounting and administrative personnel.
- Expenses: Candidates will receive an airtime allowance.
